....Retro Saturday

I have this huge collection of super amazing retro clothes and I should probably post about them more.

 This is my favorite top, it's from the 40's and it's silk and falling apart but I still love to wear it.

 Paired with this vintage skirt I found on my last thrifting excursion.

 

....Velvet dress

Second to wear from my batch of thrifting deals is this velvet dress.

I have, in the past few months, developed and overnight obsession with velvet.

Which is strange since I've hated it as long as I can remember...... Bizarre right?

Anyway, this dress was probably about 1.50$. So yeah, it rocks.

......Skirt numberone

So first to be worn from my new thrifting finds, is this long printed hippie skirt. (one of three) 

It is super fun to wear in all it's flowy-ness  :) 

I love me some long hippie skirts.

......Thrifting finds

Hit another thrift store today and found some neat dresses...

Love the fitted waist on this vintage dress.

Sheer shirt dress, so cute on. (and she only charged me for a shirt instead of a dress) 

This one speaks for itself hehe.

.....First thrifting adventure

Went thrifting here in Kentucky today and found some finds :)

Some linen cropped pants, a black and tan waist belt, a bunch of purple fabric, (I'm thinking of making a dress out of) and this satin peachy creme vintage dress with a pretty lace cutout section across the waist.

Vintage dresses

Today my neighbor Dolly, who has lived next door to us FOREVER and just now has become friends with my mom, gave me 5 of her vintage dresses from the 60's/70's with the promise of any more I might find in her garage! I am SO excited I can't wait to see what she might have from the 40's! 

This was a good day :D

......Beaded gloves and little people

Today my mommy and I took a visit to our favorite clothing exchange store, Junkee. It always has amazing vintage finds and super unique items, that's why I love it so much. I brought in a few old things and got 8$ for them and then I happily gave it all back with a purchase of my own, a lacy top that reminds me of both the 30's and of Janis Joplin, two pairs of super neat vintage gloves(super excited when I found the beaded ones!) 

and a blouse with little people and roses all over it. :)

......Vintage shopping

Today me and my friend Lauren went to a great vintage clothing exchange store called Junkee to discover her retro style. She found two nice dresses but only ended up buying the black one, I personally liked the colorful one from the 40's.

I found a great black dress but it was a vintage size 10 and I am a 12, so it was a tiny bit too small (you can see from the back shot) And a peach 50's skirt which I already own one very similar.The only thing I bought were these cute spring-picnic-y-gloves for 5$

Then we went to a fun hippie store and found some totally awesome beanie hats, I wanted mine so much! But 32$ was a bit steep for my wallet at the moment. 

Also there was a whole corner dedicated to incense, mmmm!
