......Funny sign

I went over to see my friends new place today, and I saw this on the sidewalk and had to take a picture. I thought it was hilarious, I mean who does that? They made a little sign and took the time to stick it in the poo on the sidewalk.....Man.
If you think about it, they could put that on a greeting card.....

Also, I took this photo with my new cell phone, not too shabby eh?

So these little babies are soooo good, not quite as holy-crap-amazing as the real deal, but close enough! I think next time I will make them gluten free....

Well today was spent in my new umbrella shirt I bought from House of Hollin, she was lovely to do business with. I took some photos with my now dead (I think) camera. After studying a bit I ended up making a batch of almost-exactly-like-those-girl scout-caramel/coconut/chocolate-cookies, cookies. And they are amazing let me tell ya! Vegan too. (pictures tomorrow hopefully.)

.....My vegan pesto recipe

This is my favorite pesto recipe, my own, he he. :)

I don't usually measure when I make it,

but here are the rough measurements....

1  very big bunch fresh basil (preferably organic)

1/2 cup pine nuts

3 to 4 cloves garlic

1/4 cup nutritional yeast

1/2 cup olive oil (more or less depending)

salt and pepper to taste

Blend it all up in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Today was my mom's birthday (of how many years shall remain a secret)  and I made her this card because she LOVES elephants. I also bought her a comfy pj top from Gap and wrapped it in this beautiful handmade wrapping paper I got at World Market.

.....San Fransisco

I just got my film developed from a day trip to San Fransisco I had about 3 weeks ago. It was a lovely day, I walked down by the wharf with all the people selling various goods, playing music and eating yummy looking foods. I went through an indoor/outdoor sort of mall with amazingly neat floor tile and giant pots of bamboo. I also went down to the beach and took a few pictures one is of my brother playing down among the rocks and waves.

This week I have had such a lovely time with my amazingly awesome cousin Lina. We went thrifting and shopping our buns off and found some amazing deals, including these sheep slippers I got for only 1.24$ She is a lot less lazy then I am and you can find a much more detailed and photographic logging of our time together over at her charming blog, fromlina. Also below are a couple of pictures of us, one being from some ancient Polaroid  film that I didn't think would turn out but actually we got some lovely pictures out of it :)

......Mustache men and vintage dresses

While I was in cali this past week visiting my cousins, me and Lina  were on the hunt for charming or otherwise striking old fashioned photos, a fun hobby we both share it was nice to do it together. We kept coming across humorous mustache men photos, so we decided to take the ones that sort of resembled each other and start a collection, it ended up neither of us bought them in the end because of all the other photos we were buying that added up quite quickly, so alas we said fair well to the mustache men and set them back among the piles of other old fashioned photos for someone else to discover. I am fascinated with mustache things now and my cousin happened to have a mustache stamp I used to stamp my Starbucks cup with. Oh and the dresses! I found these lovely finds today at the thrift store for 4.89$ and 2.45$ I had to sew them a bit to fit me properly but aren't they adorable? Sorry for the fuzzy quality but my camera is on it's last leg and I can't take a much better photo at the moment.
